Welcome to the Desert Mountain Four Wheel Drive Club website.
We’re a small group of off-road enthusiasts who enjoy exploring local trails, learning from each other, and spending time outdoors with good people. No thousand horse power rigs here, just off road rigs that are driven everyday or purpose built rigs to take on the hard trails. Whether you’re brand new to off-roading or have years of trail experience, you’re welcome here.
Trails for Every Skill Level
Our area offers a wide variety of terrain, and our club runs reflect that. We explore everything from easy scenic forest roads to more technical trails and extreme buggy routes.
- Beginner-friendly trails for stock or lightly modified vehicles
- Moderate trails for drivers looking to build skills and confidence
- Advanced and extreme trails for highly built rigs and experienced drivers

New to Off-Roading? No Problem.
If you’re new to four-wheeling, you don’t need to worry about “keeping up” or having the perfect setup. Many of our members started with stock vehicles and learned as they went. We believe off-roading should be enjoyable, not stressful. On a typical club run, you can expect:
- A friendly, supportive group of drivers
- A short driver meeting before hitting the trail
- Spotting and guidance when needed
- An emphasis on safety, teamwork, and fun
Monthly Runs & Club Activities

To navigate these diverse trail types, members use a variety of capable vehicles, including stock and modified four-wheel-drive vehicles, side-by-sides and specialized off-road rigs equipped for durability and safety. Together, the trails and vehicles reflect the club’s commitment to adventure, responsible off-roading, and the enjoyment of the desert and mountain environments.
Trail of the Month August 2026
"Upper Coyote Canyon"
Level 5 Moderate
Upper Coyote Canyon is at the northern end of the canyon near the power lines. The entry to this trail has a nice gate keeper rock to climb over, or you can bypass it. Right after the entry into the trail you hit a nice little rock garden, it’s pretty easy to navigate. There are a few ledges that you have to climb, nothing to hard. The harder stuff has an optional route around it. This trail can be done with a stock side by side or a slightly modified 4×4. We have had some pretty stock vehicles make it, they did take all the bypasses. From the highway it’s about 19 miles out and back. You should plan about 4 hours depending on your group.
