Triple Ledges

- Trail Length: .2 mile section of trail
- Elevation: From 4492 to 5012 feet
- Terrain Type: Sandy bottom arroyo to the ledges and then some rocks
- Major Obstacles: The three ledges
- Technical Ability: Novice
- Vehicle Recommendations: At least 35″ tires and one locker, good ground clearance
- Elevated Hazard: Summer Monsoon season, rains can cause flash flooding, be extra careful in the summer.
- Comment: This is just a section of trail that you go thru or around to get into the Cottonwood area. These three ledges can be a real pain in the butt or you can just drive over them depends on what the summer rains have done to the arroyo. If they got filled in by the rains no problem, if they got washed out, problem. The first ledge is the easiest. The next two presented a problem for a Jeep on 40s with two lockers and everyone else.
General Information:
- This trail is located in Cottonwood trail area in La Luz.
- Meet up location is the Shell gas station on the corner of Highway 82 and Florida Ave.
- You can get to the trail via Rattle Snake Canyon, the main area to get to this trail is in question (private property), I need look into it when I get a chance.
