Tecolote Canyon

Rated: 2-4
- Trail Length: 20 miles
- Elevation: From 4383 to 5135 feet
- Terrain Type: Sandy bottom arroyo, some moderate ledges, rocks and wet areas
- Major Obstacles: No show stoppers in here that I can recall
- Technical Ability: Beginner
- Vehicle Requirements: Stock 4×4 or SxS
- Elevated Hazard: Summer Monsoon season, rains can cause flash flooding, be extra careful in the summer.
- Comment: You get to Tecolote Canyon via Coyote Canyon, go 2.8 miles up the road and make the right hand turn before you drop into Coyote Canyon. Go down the road about a mile and when you drop into a large open arroyo turn left and head north east.
“Something for everyone, if you’re willing to cover the distance.”
